Once home, I started right away with cooking dinner. It was nothing spectacular either and I used the leftover cornbread from our very Southern lunch this afternoon of Black eyed peas and Collards. I know I shouldn't and my Mom can't really stand that I do this but most of our dinner came from a box, not from fresh. Anyway, I cooked up this skillet meal of Chicken and Broccoli Pasta, with the corn bread and frozen creamed corn. Funny, all the food we had tonight was all the same color...which is great if your kids are ocd. Actually, I seem to be the only one to have took notice of that fact.
So, Karo, stand proud! My stove is hot and will be all week! And think of how much cash we saved when what I spent on this week's groceries would have gotten this family of 4 only one meal out on the town.
And K, I also love vintage dishes. This is a recent find at GW and I love it! I have no idea what brand but I love it! I think it needs a cobbler in it next time!
Great bowl for sure!! And I see some green in there... :) I'm also super-dooper impressed with $46!! I shop the same way, these days. Keep it cookin'!
