It looks like we survived the first week!
Here are the kids on Thursday and they were still happy. Erica is wearing her academy polo and has already volunteered to work in the school shop, The Spirit Store. She is in the Entrepreneurship program so kids in the program get to learn how to run a business and one of those ways is through this student run store. She'll be learning the ropes starting this week.
Shane is excited that starting this week as he'll get to ride the bus 4 days instead of 2. My schedule just works out that way now and of course, he loves Fridays for the pizza lunch. M-Th he has a packed lunch from home. He is loving 2nd grade and reading is becoming one of his most favorite things to do. It's amazing what turning off the cable can do for a kid!
Hal will really get a taste of his new job this week. He works M-W then the big home game Sat. I'll be at preplanning this week and finish setting up my room for Open House on Th. We certainly have alot of of new things going on. I have a new bigger classroom and new schedule that opens up some time for me to focus on my art again which is very exciting! I have completely enjoyed the Sopchoppy Art Markets and can't wait to head home this week for another. Plus, I plan to search my Mom's for any milk glass, vintage table cloths and vintage tupperware! It's going to be busy so when is that holiday break??? Well, here's to a good week for all of us! Ciao! (Yes, it was pasta night here)
