Yes, you read that right. A $12 confession.
I had said earlier that we would not be spending on unnecessary items but today I caved. I do promise though that this purchase will not remain stuck inside a cabinet where I forget that I have it. I have changed my mind quite a bit about purchases and this one was borderline...sure it's useful and truly we do not have quite enough dishes when my whole family comes over or a group of friends but my need for it truly lay in nostalgia.
I purchased 8 large bowls from GW and a milk glass chicken that will serve as a butter dish or candy dish. The bowls are Pyrex and have that milk glass look as well. I am not sure any of it is truly vintage but this new to me set will help us host a family pasta night weekly! I did spend $12 on my entire purchase which I am only happy about since setting the table with a vintage flair helps me to actually cook at home. Yep, it's crazy but it seems to be working.
Earlier today, I pulled out my Grandma Gee's old juicer and Erica and I made Cherry Limeade. Oh, it wasn't fancy. After all, we used Kool Aid with our fresh lime juice but it was refreshing!
Cheers to the last bit of summer and Family Pasta Night!
