Quick Notes

It's just about time for the bus to drop Shane off from school but I thought I'd give a little update of the weekend real quick before I head out to the stop in the rain!
We had a great time in Sopchoppy and truly miss the "easy living" that is found there. We headed out Fri after school and got to Mom's just in time for dinner. We enjoyed going through her fabric and old patterns and boy, if I could only figure out this sewing thing! I found a pattern for aprons which I am currently obsessed with and some great fabric to make into some. Then Mom and I were up early Sat. to hit the yard sale in C'ville to benefit the FWC where I found some great vintage dresses and other odds and ends. We zipped back to Sopchoppy for me to set up my table at the Music & Art Market. It was a fun day despite the wind and me chasing some of my items into the street! Sunday was pretty awesome as well. It's very touching to be reminded of the awesome roots you come from! My church family there are praying people and I am still amazed at the power that community has when they come together to pray for one another.

Sunday afternoon was a treasure hunt. We discovered GoodFinds in Tally and Goodwill and then came back to Mom's and lazed around. Mon. we were up and back up at the Goodwill for the half off sale and got some goodies like a croquet game~brand new! Shane and I took my Mom and Erica over to my aunt's house and then the 2 of us had a blast at the Gulf Specimen Marine Lab. It's certainly a treasure and I would love to be able to go there everyday! All in all, the weekend was good. We had fried mullet courtesy of my aunt and cousin, we found several treasures and loads of inspiration. I am excited that we'll be back up in a short 2 weeks for the Artist Night at The Frog & The Hummingbird!

I'll post pics of the vintage goods soon! Off to pick up Shane :)
