Yes, I am once again surrounded by piles of paper! It must be my major downfall...paper. It creeps in from everywhere. Kid's school work, my school work and bills, statements and all that important stuff you gotta keep. I keep trying to organize it and recycle what we really don't need around (we shred it and use it in our compost pile!) but the piles creep back in and surround me!
Tonight, I took 10 minutes and sorted through my work files. Sept-Dec. I have a crate full of could be art projects and color sheets. I am trying to use up those this year and slim the files down to fit in this box that my mil gave me. One small file box for work...can you imagine? I wonder if it will happen! It does look better in that corner and maybe I'll find another 10 minutes tomorrow to finish it up. I hope to empty that crate to use in some other way. We have two crates out on the back porch that we emptied during our major declutter this summer. I am sure the crates can be used to store pool toys and such. Any other ideas for the crates?
I had said that each night we'd put aside some time to declutter and it is gratifying to actually make a little progress towards clearing another bit of space in our home. This week, I cleared the counter that fills with mail and homework. I completed some paperwork to be mailed off and tonight that pile of work stuff. Ahh, won't life be so sweet by next summer...if this keeps up we can be clutter free by then!
