Here's the update on how dinner is going around here. Friday before I left for Sopchoppy, I cooked a beef roast in the crock pot. Hal had some of it as a sandwich while we were away and Sunday, when we returned I added brown gravy and rice as a side dish to the roast...ta-da, we had dinner. Then yesterday, I took canned tomatoes and frozen mixed veggies and added the roast to make a vegetable beef soup with King's Hawaiian rolls. This morning after dropping kids off to school, I had one hour before going into work so I threw a pork roast in the crock pot. Now I have added some tasty bbq sauce and put tater tots in the oven and we'll have pulled pork on buns with tater tots tonight! Tomorrow will be a day we eat leftovers since it's one of our busier days. So far, we've done pretty good.
I will visit the farmer's market Th. in High Springs but we don't need to hit up the WD yet. I have lots more planning to do but we have been eating at home, liking it and saving some cash!
