Hot iron and vintage fabric! Let's begin here.
I found this print at my Mom's and there was just enough to make an apron. Not many scraps were left but you may see it in some random project as I progress in this new adventure.
Here is a completed waistband. They aren't as tricky anymore. Trust me, I've come a long way!
Ask my Mom who I am sure wanted to hang up on me when she got the call to explain to me how to flip those ties around...now 5 aprons later, I've got it down.
These are my latest and favorites :)
Ahhh, the finished product for my first sewing gig! These babies will be making their debut in front of the crowd at the "Solid Rock Cafe' Concert" at TUMC in Nov. :)
Now you all heard, we had a bad week...so Th. was a sweet blessing. We spent the afternoon with the cuzzies, which always is comforting. We are very blessed with a beautiful family. I love them all. Even when I act like I don't, I really do.
We hit the dirt road and took a walk to the local farmer's market. Yes, the same one I had found those awesome glass pieces. No such luck this time but you never know.

We arrived at the market and took a look around.
Mason likes to stop and smell the chocolate goat milk soap-yes, every week. One of these days we may have to buy it.
There we lots of new vendors which was nice to see.
But the best part this week was my score on these white acre peas! Yum!
Time passes and we are still simplifying and regaining control of our days. They go by too fast and with much left undone but when I remember my roots and add a touch of days long gone...things seem a little bit nicer.
Yeah for Sunday dinner tomorrow: White Acre Peas, Pulled Pork and cornbread :)
You always describe things so vividly. Your photos are beautiful, too! Glad to see your simplifying is going well.
