So, this is the "Mom, you are totally ruining my rockstar image." You all know that I must photograph all our "big" events and this surely qualified. I mean some day my boy may be rocking out somewhere. Shane started his drum class 2 weeks ago. It's a group class full of kids from K-5th grade. He has had a great time so far. I am certainly impressed with the studio and staff I've come in contact with. Studio Percussion is fantastic! His instructors are high schoolers in the drum line at Erica's school. They have been amazing at sharing their talents with this group of kids. And I have a feeling that Salli and Gabe would totally love this place!
Most of class, the kids use the floor to learn the different exercises and beats.
Shane told me the other night on the way back, that he can't wait to get to Sopchoppy so he can learn some stuff from Gabe when he is finally back from NY. So, there you go, Gabe, this kid is ready to add some knowledge to what he is picking up here. Ok, maybe he is just trying to get on the drum set. :)
At the end of each class, they take turns on the drums. It's def. the highlight of the night!
Yeah, I know, we may need to move out to the country...my neighbors may not like it once he can have his own drum set.
