So, to start our vacation...I had to go in today for what I thought would be a needle biopsy for my thyroid. Much to my relief, the doc whom was very nice informed me that they prefer to do their own ultrasounds instead of just reading a radiologist's notes. Ah, yes, I can certainly do that! Well, the results were the same. Still concern on the nodule on the left as it is large (1.5 cm or higher is what they consider large) with calcifications and bloodflow. We then scheduled the biopsy for next Friday afternoon. And now, I am home to pack and head out to visit old friends and spend some time where I used to play as a kid and where Hal and I spent our honeymoon.
Packing is ridiculous! Really, with a 14 and 7 year old, who want to bring EVERYTHING! I should have packed earlier this week but never got around to it. So, off we go with sand toys, electronics, basic neccessities and the kids! I'll update next week after some sun, sand and r & r :) plus, you all need to hear about our recent trip into the Florida Swamp and I do not mean here in Gainesville! 200+ alligators, buzzards, bears and panthers!
