Less is more...more or less, right?

I've always been the gal who is constantly trying to declutter her home with very little success. But it's time I got real about it and just did it. I remember first being married and having so little stuff and the house seeming so HUGE. 15 years and 2 kids later, where did that big house go?
It's still here, somewhere under piles of paper, toys, and other random stuff. What happened? Well, work and afterschool activities, my own schooling and time for keeping this place up vanished. What we are left with is a house that is not too embarrassing to have friends and family over on the spur of the moment but it's still choatic. Oh, we keep the main rooms nice enough...it's the bedrooms and closets that hide our clutter. I've tried to tackle some of that this weekend but came to a standstill with the paperwork and such that should have been organized and filed long ago. Paper is my nemesis! I can't seem to get rid of it!
I have big ideas for the upcoming weeks-repurpose, reorganize and enjoy my home again. I think it's going to start small though. Something easier than the paper piles, like say the kid's bathroom...that should be easy. I can't possibly have any sentimental attachment to anything in there, right? You can look forward to a picture post after I complete this project. Just keep in mind, it will take a couple of months. Decluttering can not be done overnight!
