I am an amateur with a camera. I see very well. And sometimes just happen to capture a bit of God's fantastic paintings. This is one of my favorites. During the year that my brother recovered from a month or so in ICU and a major surgery, I spent alot of time back home. Sometimes afraid, full of guilt for things I'd said to him and sometimes just glad that things were changing. This year has been rather similar. My family has faced loads of changes, joys, triumphs and the occasional really bad day. I've thought daily of that year and this photo straightens me out. I remember explaining to Shane, who was 4 at the time, about how God paints the sunsets. As we left the area, the sun began to set and the colors were much more intense than they are in this picture and he said "Look, Mom, there is God's painting again." The lighthouse is a symbol of guidance. A way to bring you in safe from the rough seas. The seas of life have been rough lately but God's going to bring us through and land us safely on shore where we can sit, relax and watch Him paint.
