To the Tee...shirt

Yes, I am obsessed. I love tee shirts. I do. Hal and I headed down this weekend to a nearby flea market in search of vintage Tupperware and Old Florida art but with no luck so we found ourselves in Goodwill searching through the tees. One lady even said to me "You are getting all the good ones." Yes, I was. Guy Harvey tees, a VANS and some tie dyed :) I have been cutting, pinning and knotting them most of today. Tonight I pulled out the Singer. Again, not much luck...I jammed the material and messed up the bobbin. I had to call my Mom for assistance. I finally got it untangled and rethreaded but apparently need some practice. You would think with all my experience of watching her and my older sister sew since I was itty bitty that I would just be a natural at it. Well, at least, I have watched long enough to know what is wrong and when I am doing it wrong! I can not wait to complete my "Country Living" market tote. Yes, I found this huge dark blue tee with a chicken on the front and an egg on the back. (Picture on my FB page) It was easy to cut and pin the tote but finishing it up is a challenge for me. I have to master the backstitch without jamming the machine...so I think I'll keep practicing until I have the sewing down right to a tee ;)

I'll post pics once I finish!

  1. You're so creative. You should start taking orders for the items you make.
