You're gonna do great things

Everytime I hear the song, The Words I Would Say by Sidewalk Prophets, I think of a conversation I had with my Mom a long time ago. Most of you know the story of my entrance to this world but for those who don't...here's the short version. My parents and 3 older siblings lived in a small town.  My parents were separating when my Mom found out she was going to have yes, another baby, that would be little ol' me :) Times were hard but she still worked and took the big kids to church. Well, one night at revival, she went into labor. She walked home (told you it was a small town, our home is about a block or two from the Baptist church.) Long story shortened here...I was born at home and by the time my Grandma ran her car hot,  my uncle arrived with his pants on inside out (haha, he worked crazy shifts and had been asleep) and the ambulance arrived so had the church congregation...that church family has meant alot to me through the years and I am thankful to still have connections with many of them. They've seen me through grand events, such as my birth into this world, my rebirth into the kingdom of God and they have also supported me through hard times. Well, back to why I think of my birth, rebirth and that convo with Momma when I hear this song...it's such a reminder that God placed me here. He chose my entrance and every path I've taken He has guided or redirected me. My mom told me that she has always known that I would do great things...God gave me to her for that very reason. So, now as I struggle daily to recall why I am here and face this life's many stressors...I needed a reminder from God. Just yesterday, as I felt life crushing me with some news I had just gotten, I was getting in my car and the radio was on the Joy FM and that very song was playing...on the part that says "Be strong in the Lord and, Never give up hope, You're going to do great things, I already know, God's got His hand on you so, Don't live life in fear, Forgive and forget, But don't forget why you're here, Take your time and pray, These are the words I would say"
Thanks, God, for another simple reminder.
