We certainly started summer with a bang! We had a little TS (Tropical Storm for those who aren't native Floridians) then recitals, family visits and baseball camp! We have enjoyed every minute of it!
I have to start with the fun we had at recitals. This year was Erica's 9th recital, if I am counting right...she helped this year with some of my preschool students and that was so sweet.
Here are our favorite school girls :)

We hosted a fun day at the creek searching for shark's teeth with my nephew, Zach although I think he and Shane rather enjoyed swimming more than searching for any fossils.
The creek water was high and current was fast due to that TS that had just spent the previous 24 hours pelting us with rain. The boys had a great time just being boys for the day and Shane was sad to see him head back home. I am very glad these boys share so many summer adventures!
This week Shane began baseball camp and that too was amazing! I have to credit Coach Maris in the way he runs his camp. It was absolutely phenomenal! Shane and I can't wait for next summer already. Shane learned a lot and everyone involved was amazingly kind and encouraging. Truly a great foundation was set in my son this past week. I can see he'll be part of America's favorite past time from here on out thanks to those amazing coaches and young ball players who set such a fine example!

Our next adventure: Valencia Summer Dance Institute (or shall I say, Erica's next adventure while Shane and I explore museums, the zoo and other cool stuff!)
Happy Summer!
