So, it seems it's been quite some time since I've sat down and blogged.
And that's because things are nuts. Yes, absolutely crazy around here!
Last week, I said goodbye to my sweet job for the last nearly 10 years. There were few tears because my dear friends all know that they'll still see me here and there just not daily as we have for so long now. Our history goes way back to the years Erica attended school there so way longer than the nearly 10 I worked at Stepping Stones.
I was truly blessed with this job and will very much miss my friends there. Two of those friends, I have been fortunate enough to have known as fellow parents as our children have grown up together there and they were some of the first here in Gainesville to make me feel welcome after coming from such a friendly hometown and knowing everyone in it.
As for my new job, I am moving over to Sonshine Day to work full time so that Hal and I can stay caught up on the never ending cycle of bills and so that we can keep stashing money away for another rainy day ;) Trust me, we are so over the rainy days! But we know they will be coming...
Again, God has blessed me with new friends at my new job. They welcomed me right in and it's starting to feel like home. I have lots to adjust to this summer but I know God has brought us to and through all of these changes we are facing and have faced the last few months.
Hal has an offer here in G'ville and next week, we'll know more about that as he completes the interview process. So, no worries, Gators, looks like we are staying here.
School ends for my kids next week and that brings another change as Shane will no longer be a Talbot Tiger. We were rezoned and he will attend the new school that is closer to our house and my new job. Another blessing is that my new school offers afterschool for elementary kids so Shane will be picked up and brought to my campus so my only issue now is to make sure E can get to her afterschool activities safely.
Lots of new places and faces for us in the next few months so continue to pray for us. Oh, times are a-changing over here and we are just trying to keep up!
Sounds like things are looking up for your family. Change is difficult but necessary. You'll touch many new lives, and they'll touch yours!
